Welcome to my story behind the painting page. The stories are not too long and help the visual to come alive!
Breath Form - "Softly expanding, softly dissolving - the echo of light through colour and air". This was painted towards the end of a beautiful sunny day and my studio was lit up in a myriad of colours with the setting sun.
City Window Bouquet - this piece was created on Toronto Island with a lovely view of the city from the beach! My inspirations were floral and foliage and with the CN Tower in full view with the condos peeking out it was a City Window bouquet.
Soft morning blush was created after waking up very early and seeing the light play on a bouquet of flowers on my kitchen table.
Heat and Hush - "Where warmth rises and settles into stillness - a bloom caught between pulse and calm". This says it all:)
This piece was created with a big smile! I asked my grandson Declan what his favourite colour was and he replied: Blueberries!
Have you ever had a day where you just felt over the moon happy? I did with my granddaughter Isla - she is a burst of joy!
This piece was created in memory of a very special friend who still brings a smile to my heart. Never forgotten always loved...
Plum and Rose - is a little gem that came about while being inspired by beautiful vases and purple flowers.
The Golden Hour was created during my residency in Newfoundland. Living in Pouch Cove for a month was inspiring, educational and mind opening for me.
